The Department of Dietetics and Nutrition is dedicated to enhancing patient recovery through evidence-based nutritional care. Proper nutrition supports medical treatment, accelerates healing, reduces hospital stays, and lowers the risk of hospital-acquired infections. Our team of experienced dietitians designs personalized nutrition plans tailored to each patient's needs, considering factors such as age, medical conditions, burn injuries (measured by Total Body Surface Area, or TBSA), comorbidities, food availability, and financial constraints. We provide comprehensive services, including individualized diet plans and counseling for patients and their caregivers to ensure optimal nutrition during and after treatment. For outpatients, we offer counseling to address lifestyle-related conditions such as malnutrition, obesity, diabetes, hypertension, and hypotension, promoting long-term health and well-being.
We conduct educational programs to raise awareness about the importance of nutrition in managing burn injuries and lifestyle-related health conditions. These initiatives empower patients, caregivers, and the community to make informed dietary choices.
